We moved to the Hickory, NC area in December, 2014. We looked for a welcoming and affirming Episcopal church, with inspiring preaching and a congregation who was concerned to be about the Lord's work in the community and the world. St Alban's had us at "Hello." We don't have children, so don't feel qualified to rate their youth/children's program, but it looks like they are busy and having a good time. The music program is unbelievably good for any size church, let alone one with a smaller congregation. The priest is a gifted preacher, and he shares the pulpit once a month with the Deacon assigned to St Alban's. The congregation takes the leadership role in Outreach and Stewardship - locally and globally. Visit if you are in the area. You will find it a blessing.
